Celebrate Summer Break, the B&O Railroad Museum is kicking off the NEW EVENT, Under the Big Top. This event, recently created by the B&O’s Education Department, is themed around the traditional circus trains of years gone by that brought all of the dare devil, thrilling and entertaining acts of the circus to every corner of America. Kids and their families love being adventurous “walking the high-wire”, “taming a lion” or “jumping through flaming hoops”. An abundance of activities include a variety of carnival games and craft station devoted to making clown faces.
Every day from 10am to 12 Noon kids may become their favorite circus animal via face painting. A circus story will be read each day beginning at 11am. Thursday and Friday, June 23 & 24 everyone may board the B&O’s Mile One Express for a 20 minute round-trip “circus” train ride.
So come one! Come all! To this topsy-turvy, wildly wacky, fun-filled time!
