The 11th season of Flicks From The Hill, the museum’s wildly popular summer film series. On Thursday nights at 9pm (July 9–August 27), AVAM screens a selection of FREE, family-friendly films in the Hughes Family Outdoor Theater on Federal Hill. The museum’s buildings and exhibitions are also free and open to the public from 5:00 to 9:00 pm on Flicks nights, and a variety of pre-movies events, like the Flicks Premiere Party, Tour de Federal Hill bike rides and more, are scheduled for each night as well.
About Flicks From The Hill: Grab a blanket, picnic under the stars, and watch a great selection of films inspired by American Visionary Art Museum’s current exhibition, The Visionary Experience: Saint Francis to Finster. The Hughes Family Outdoor Theater features seating for more than a thousand on the natural amphitheater formed by Federal Hill; a 30-foot wide screen held from above by artist Adam Kurtzman’s Giant Golden Hand; a twinkling view of downtown
Baltimore City; and an amazing, all-ages, community experience that is FREE!
