Think back to Field Day as a kid – a day of fun outside with your friends, eating good food (snack packs, anyone?) and playing games. We think it’s time to bring back some of the fun! Join Waterfront Partnership for the 1st Annual Field Day – this Saturday, July 30!
Field Day is free to attend, from 12 – 6 pm. Food, drink, team competition and Bubble Ball tickets will be available for purchase.
Yard games will be available all afternoon, including Bubble Ball Soccer ($5 drop in games), Corn Hole, Bear Pong, and Giant Jenga. There will be a Tie-Dye t-shirt station, where the first 250 attendees to sign up and attend the event will receive a free Field Day t-shirt to tie-dye (or bring your own shirt).
Vendors such as Ekiben, Snake Hill, Dooby’s and local cocktail bar Sugarvale will be on-site to serve food and drinks. A live DJ will provide entertainment. Oh, and don’t miss your chance to see how Rash Field will be transformed – with renderings on site for the Rash Field Improvement Project.
The team competitions will take place from 1pm to 4pm. Teams will compete in five relay-style races including a wheelbarrow race, a beach ball carry race, a water sponge relay, sack race and a crab walk. Teams can still sign up online in advance for $5 per person. Registration will fill up and closes Thursday at 10am. *All team members must be 21+ to participate.
